Atlantis docks at International Space Station For The Final Time

After a 30 year jounrey, Atlantis has docked at the International Space Station for the final time.

The shuttle docked with ISS at 1507 GMT time. The crew at ISS took pictures of it as it landed onto the ISS. Four astronauts floated into the ISS as the hatches between two spacecrafts opened.

The final journey, 12 days long started on Friday with a launch from Kennedy Space Centre. The moment was attended by thousands of visitors and journalists from around the world. After this final launch, there is no more a US government funded space program for sending astronauts to space until 2015.
