Boeing celebrates Final Assembly of 1000th 767 aeroplane

Boeing has assembled 767 for the 1000th time on 10 January 2011 at Everett,WA factory. The plane had been in construction for last 30 years.
The Boeing 767 which first flew on 26 September 1981, is powered by two wing-mounted high-bypass turbofan engines. The 767 features a twin-aisle cabin with a typical configuration of 2–3–2 in economy class and 2–2–2 in business class. It had many modified versions too namely 767-200, 767-200ER, 767-300,767-300ER,767-300F,767-400. Prominent users are American Airlines, Delta Airlines & Japan Airlines.
The 1000th plane is scheduled for delivery in February. This plane goes to ANA, a long time customer of Boeing who first placed an order for 767 back in 1979.
