The 130mph Dining Table

A record for the world’s fastest furniture ? Seriously ?
Earlier a 92 mph sofa held the record for being the world’s fastest sofa but now another interesting concept has emerged and this time it’s a dining table that can travel at 130 mph.
The idea comes from Watkins, a sales director in Wingrave, England who has already built world record of smallest street legal race cars. His ambition didn’t end there and he came up with this dining table which he mounted on an old Scimitar Sabre V8 convertible car whose panels he ripped off and was left with the chassis. Later, he installed the nitrous oxide injection system for more power. The table was then mounted on the entire modified car. The car generated so much heat at first that it melted the PISTONS.

How the table works ?
One end of the table was bolted to the car’s front whilst the rear had the hydraulic rams, just like the cranes which fix street lights. The hydraulic ram pulls up the table to allow driver to seat himself in.
