Talk about the cars that have been engineered without any compromise on anything and Evosport Mercedes CLK63 Black. It’s a limited production car from Mercedez with a 6.2 litre naturally aspirated V8 that generates 500 bhp.
The car has no back seats to give it a look of real sports car. It accelerates with with a low sound and turns into a monster in no time making it one of the top sport cars around. It takes 4.1 seconds for it to accelerate from 0-60 mph due to its 500 bhp engine that generates 469 lb-ft of torque. In quarter miles, the car has time of 11s with a top speed of 121 mph. Looks like Mercedes has designed the car with North America in mind where stoplight grand prix is quite admired.

Modifications
Evosport has altered the looks by changing intake and exhaust and replacing them with parts from their store. Long tube stainless steel race headers and 3” performance exhaust ensure engine is ventilated well. The headers are coated with ceramic. Evosport has also installed dampened underdrive crankshaft pulley. This reduces the rotating mass considerably.
Evosport’s ECU removes the limit on top speed and improves throttle control and ignition timing. The ECU can adjust according to Octane 93 or Octane 95 fuels accordingly. The modifications hit 630 bhp mark on dynamometer test and 589 lb-ft torque.

Transmission
The car is equipped with Mercedes’ 7-speed automatic transmission. To your surprise, there is no dual clutch transmission.
Suspension
The suspension comprises of H&R coilovers and adjustable anti roll bar.
Brakes
Evosport has fitted lightweight, two-piece rotors. As expected, titanium is there in brake shims and high performance brake pads are installed.
Interior
The interior package contains Evosport’s seat inserts, F/R door inserts, center armrest. A carbon fibre package is also there to choose.
An Escort 9500ci radar system (custom mounted) is also installed.
